The finned heat sink includes a main body and two connecting parts. Each end of the main body is provided with two fixing holes, and a perforation is made in the middle part, with a joining part protruding to one side of the finned heat sink at the perforation, allowing this type of finned heater to connect with the heat pipe through the perforation and connecting parts.
It is well known that the dissipation of CPU heat is mainly achieved through conduction, which involves the medium that is in direct contact with the processor - the heat sink. The heat sink absorbs heat and dissipates it in the form of convection. During the convection cooling process, the cooling area is mainly determined by the surface area of the finned heat sink; the larger the surface area, the better the cooling effect; conversely, a smaller surface area results in poorer cooling performance. Commonly used methods in the industry include: increasing the number of finned heat sinks and increasing their length. One key metric reflected is the 'thickness-to-height ratio' - that is, the ratio of the thickness to height of the heat sink fins. A smaller value means that a denser finned heat sink can be made within a unit volume, resulting in more fins and a larger effective cooling surface area, thus improving cooling performance.
